What would I do without cat photos?

I started my day yesterday with a pleasant phone call from my friend in Denmark. This is where technology shines, she can simply call me from her car on the way home from work and I get the call through my computer, as that was where I was. Reading blogs. I must say, it brightened my whole day! Technology is how we met, on blogger in 2008, in person in 2010. I'm so very happy we did.

We are now having mild weather and according to the meteorologist it may stay this way for the rest of the winter. Odd, but helpful with propane usage. We haven't had plowable snow yet.

I hope something brightens your day.

I so appreciate having met so many people through blogging. Unfortunately, have only met a handful in person....tho there are several community members who read my blog regularly. I still want to spend some time with you and Val!

How nice that your friend brightened your day! We are supposed to have 40's next week and possibly rain today.

Nice to have a phone call like that!
I call an acquaintance-- friend each Sunday to check in on her and see how her week has gone.
It brightens both of our days.

I have met a couple of people from blogging and a few from Flickr the photo site.

We have fog for our second day and now with rain forecast for today and tomorrow.
:)
It is still pretty out.
This made my day!

Lori, I also appreciate the connections I have made here. I have met two bloggers in person. What a trio you, Val and I would make!!!

Far Side, it really did! I felt better all day. We have fog today. I hope it doesn't rain.

Val, that's a good routine to have. You both get enjoyment from the call. We also have fog, it's kind of dark today.

There are days when just a call makes a big difference! I've been active online since the mid 90s and have met quite a few online friends in person. They're usually just as I'd figured, from reading their writing over years.

Nowadays it tends to work the other way, with local friends finding that I blog, and coming in to get involved there, too.

He is such a handsome and good boy. I'm not even a cat person and I like him. :)

Being in touch with fellow humans is one of the really wonderful things about the internet. Most of the time I am glad I have found so many like-minded people.

I have some chat friends. We met on AOHell back in 1997 in a homeschool chat room. I had a 10 year old boy and a 4 year old little girl then. She actually sat on my lap while I was at the computer sometimes.

Some of us have met in person, some have not. But every Friday night, we still chat. We're down to three, sometimes four in our little chat. The kids grew up. That four year old is now almost 31 and married. The 10 year old will be 37 on his next birthday and will have been married 10 years in August.

Boud, it was amazing the difference it made! I've been online since 1999. I was on a horse forum of people from the region, most from MN. I knew many of them already but there were a lot I didn't. I the winter of 2006 I had a party for any who wanted to come. A lot of people showed up, most I didn't know. It was great fun. You are active on and off line!

Miss Merry, sometimes!

My life seems centered around cats all of a sudden, Dawn! We would have thought? He loves a box. You need some rain after missing the monsoons.

e, I'm happy the monster boy made you smile!

Ami, he is a looker. Over the years I have lost contact with the people I met on the horse forum. Mostly because I stopped using FB, which was the main form of communication. Those are special relationships to be continuing after all this time, I think this is wonderful.

Your cat photos are always delightful, Sandra, and give me a smile on seeing them. How wonderful to be able to connect with a blogger friend through a call. The same has happened to me with fellow bloggers in Canada and Scotland. Also, the couple we reunited with in England last Oct have become phone friends as well thanks to Whats App. I enjoy the connections made through blogging whether or not it will be possible to meet many, even a handful would do just fine.

Thanks, Dorothy. The cats give me many photo opportunities! I find blogging a more satisfying connection than social media. I suppose blogging is social media, but different. There actually does become a connection with the people we interact with. It's so good you have those phone connections.
