Bits of Nothing

Queen for Life
Not for a Day

The iPhone camera can take a photo in darkness and make it usable. It's a bit grainy, still, it amazes me.

We got our Covid booster yesterday. I have a slightly sore arm. Mark has flu-like symptoms. He asked me how it feels to be the strong one in the family. Very funny. His answer to not feeling well? Might as well go clean the barn.

Bill still has my mower. The lawn is just as bad as it had been when I mowed the one and only time. Bill cannot be pushed, I call it Bill Time. So, I wait, quietly impatient.  It is a nice day, sunny and mild. Perfect for mowing....

Glad you are having some good weather....too bad your mower is not working. I was also surprised about how well my iPhone can take a photo in the dark... Hope Mark is feeling better.

What number booster are you on? We have had three boosters after the original two shots of Moderna.

Lori, it is kind of driving me crazy to have my farm look so bad. Nothing I can do about it.

The last couple of phones have been excellent for photos. Mark is not feeling great but it doesn't stop him!

I've filled both sides of my covid record card. I had great tiredness after the latest one, mild chills on a hot day. Not as trying as the last one though. So let's hope Mark feels better soon, and well done you for getting it done.

If I had to pick one thing I love about a smart phone after I resisted buying one for so long (got my first in 2019... it's a 2016 model and I still am using it) it would be the pictures. I can take them and easily share them all over the place and the photos are great. Technology is an amazing thing.

We don't have anything to mow here. Lots and lots of overgrown flowering shrubs and bulbs and trees, though. And a 30 thousand dollar landscape, mostly done for free. Otherwise we would definitely not have it. LOL

Boud, Mark has the same symptoms. But, now he went out to lop saplings. He has anxiety and a lot of trouble staying still. So, he works. Yes, we needed to get it done. We had the shingles vaccination about a month ago. In another month we can get the second.

My first was an iPhone 3. I now have a 12. I'll be updating sometime this year. Mark gets my old phone, he uses it as a phone only, he does do a very few texts. The phone he has now is becoming unreliable, so I'll get the 14 and he'll get mine, which will drive him crazy because the operational things have changed! I'm holding off on this as long as I can.

That's some landscaping. You know good people!

My hubby has been a landscaper for 39 years.
When they would tear out an old landscape somewhere, he salvaged the plants and planted them in pots here at home. Back in 2009 he paid some of his crew to come work on a weekend and they put in an automatic sprinkler system and planted everything.

It's really wild out there now, and if I think about it I'll get out tomorrow and grab a couple photos, but here's a progress set for you.

I know when our machine was down from hubby running into some things, it took over two weeks to get it back. I bit the bullet and hand mowed, but only the main parts of the yard.
It is so frustrating when you want to keep things looking nice.

LOL. I have what I call a stupid phone. It takes awful shots mostly. I have had friends tell me I need a 'good' one. I just use mine for texts and call mostly or reading something.

Nice on getting a new one when you do get it!
And I hope you get your mower back!

Just catching up. Our tortie vomited last night and then collapsed in a heap on the floor. She's okay but I honestly thought she was dying. Her arthritis is getting much worse but she's still guarding the yard.

Ami, this is gorgeous! A bonus of the job. And a sprinkler system!

Val, with Bill, time is fluid! Or stuck. Theres a combination of issues, a huge downed tree in front of the house, and an over grown lawn and flower beds, too.Plus the falling down fence. Lovely!

Stupid phone! This will be the fastest transition I have had with a phone. I had the prior one, which Mark has, for several years. I suppose that's why it starting to fail. These things are expensive.

Pixie, you must have felt a wreck. I'm not surprised she still guarding the yard, they are something else.

Thanks for the reply on the boosters. My husband checked with his Doctor and they said to wait until Fall that there would be an updated vaccination then:)
