Sweet and Sorrow

Since Gatto burst onto the scene, the Prima Donna of our lives has been shunted to the sidelines. Gatto does pay for that, she enjoys smacking him around. Her hiss sounds like a snake.

The iris fascinated my little girl.

Moving in for a closer inspection.

Peek
You don't see my feet on the table, right?

hmmmm, it's the same on this side

Brat Cat spent a considerable amount of time on iris inspection. She looks good in yellow. Frieda is the only Tortie I have had. Or, I should say, has me. The description of the personality is no lie.

Matthew sent me a text yesterday about his Aunt Sally. She died in her sleep yesterday afternoon. The universe has acquired a force of nature.

Our loss is the universe's gain, then. Condolence to us, though.

I love the iris, iris envy, and the tortie, not tortie envy though. I'm not of a dramatic enough temperament to tolerate tortie shenanigans.

I was never able to have flowers in vases when I had cats. They'd have been instantly batted all over the floor, the vase in use as a drinking bowl.

Boud, yes the universe's gain, indeed.

I love this little monster. I think I am more inclined to the shenanigans in my older years than I would have been when younger. I take much more in stride. It is never a dull moment!

I'm sorry about Aunt Sally. Cats are so curious and funny, aren't they...

I love the photos of your cat and its inspection of the Iris. Your captions brought a smile to my face.
I am sorry for the loss of Aunt Sally. Your son seems to be such a kind and thoughtful young man.
Take Care,
Kaye

I'm glad that Aunt Sally had a Peaceful transition. The Cat Inspector cracked me up, Eli would have smacked that Vase over, just to be a Rascal. He does Cat Porn with Princess T's Squishmallow Pillow Pets. I can hear her screaming at him to quit being so 'nasty', it's hilarious.

I enjoyed the iris-sniffing process/photos.

I have never lived with a cat until my daughter and her husband (the barnacles) moved in with us. (3 years ago on May 18th... time flies) They brought their little girl kitty with them. She's very small and very sweet. And demanding. She has a routine with each member of the family. I'm the one she gets when she wants a drink from the bathroom faucet. Hubby is the official front door opener so she can see outside. My daughter is told to get fresh grass for Pixel to munch on daily. And also food. The boy barnacle is tasked with snuggling.

I'm sorry for the loss of such a great person.

Cats. They can be so curious. I had a cat for years and she was the sweetest little bossy cat.

Next weekend Charlie and I go visit my son whose wife came with cats! It should be interesting to see how Charlie reacts to cats in the house!

e, yes. I never know how much I could love a cat. I've always liked them but the came second to my dogs. Frieda owns me entirely, no mortgage!

Kaye, Frieda is easy to caption! My son had a relationship with that family. I allowed his bio-dad to have him for a couple of days, whenever he showed up, because he wa immediately dropped off at his grandma's house. He was safe there. He is deeply saddened by her death.

Dawn, yes it helps the survivors when it's peaceful. I have never had a cat that knocks things down. I know I have been lucky. Gatto is a klutz so he is perfectly capable of doing it by accident. Snip Snip, Eli!

Pixel has all of you well trained! Smart kitty. time is flying.

Val, I haven't seen Sally since the divorce but Matthew says she remained herself throughout her lifetime.

Cats have more to them than I gave them credit for. Charlie is in for a surprise!

How wonderful to die in your sleep, my sympathy to your son. Some Aunts are more special than others.
That is a beautiful Iris that deserves close inspection!

Yes, it is a blessing for all. These are early bloomers and they will also put out a few blooms in the fall, a first for me. A really pretty yellow. I got them for free from someone thinning their patch.
