A beautiful late afternoon on the back door deck.

A glass of Chardonnay in my 41 year old pottery "chalice" as Mark calls them. A lovely breeze, nice wine and an audio book. A good dog laying in the bushes and a very good man bringing in my horses. Sometimes one must take a deep breath and appreciate.

I love your chalice and it sounds like you had a very peaceful afternoon. It's heating up here again and I'm still hoping for rain. Tomorrow I'm preparing a stall and turnout for a horse that is coming on Friday for a month. The owner has been a friend for years and it will be nice to have company, as she will be doing most of the work. Do your horses come in every night? You have a very special husband, who takes such good care of them. It's about time for me to find a good audio book. I used to love listening to them while doing chores.

Yes, great to realize how good that moment is, while it's still happening.

Lori, yes, they are barn babies. Out in the morning in for the night. When I couldn’t do it he stepped up. I bet you will enjoy this next month with your friend. We heat up again by the weekend.

It’s Sandra, Boud. Sometimes I am able to relish the moment. This was one of those times.

What a great way to spend the afternoon!

I spent the afternoon on the porch cleaning tack and listening to music. :)
