Up and Down
Yesterday
Today
I have wondered what appealed to the early European settlers who ventured into this place and decided to stay. They were mostly Norwegian in the early years, I suppose it looked like home.
That is what our place looked like. When I drove to town Monday morning, I discovered that there had been no plows on our town roads so that was fun. But by the afternoon, it was melted off and the gravel-dirt road painted any traffic with brown dirt.
Beatrice, snow is common here in the spring. We even occasionally have snow in June. We know it won't last so it doesn't matter much. We are being soaked with rain currently.

Yes that is Minnesota weather wait a bit and the weather will change:) We still have lots of snow!
It will be the tropics before you know it, Far Side!
We are the other way about. Sun the other day with the air one and the heat on today, with snow!
I wonder what time of year they arrived. Also why travel so far in order to find a place like the one you left? This seems to have happened a lot.
An amazing difference. We are freezing today, but no snow.
We have been in the 50s. Soup weather. I hope you enjoyed yours and happy birthday to your son!

The fun of living in a northern state!
Ivy, and probably sunny and warm today!
Boud, I should look it up. People in times of strife do want what is familiar and this would have had familiarity.
It's cold and raining here, Lori. The rollercoaster of spring!
e, I did indeed enjoy mine! His having a birthday reminds me of time more than my own birthday.
Val, one thing about the far north is there is rarely a dull moment weather-wise!!
What a difference 24 hours did make, Sandra! The snow scene was lovely, but the second one probably made you much happier.
