Well.....

I had messaged my primary to correct a couple of items she had in notes regarding me. She responded saying she would correct the errors. Then felt it necessary to include the statement that, as she had told me, my blood work is all normal so there is nothing more they can do for me. Why? It's a good thing I have a fairly strong sense of self because the attitude which has been presented to me could be damaging if I actually were what they seem to think I am. I only messaged her because I didn't want those errors in my record. Physician, heal thyself. Patient is certainly trying.

It's a bright, sunny day and it's going to reach 80 F! Crazy. I baked an einkorn loaf yesterday. It is very dense so it may become croutons and bread crumbs. It would also probably be a good soup bread. It's in the freezer for now. I'm testing this easy recipe with various types of flour as an experiment. So far all but one worked well. The one that didn't can still have a use.

We had pork roast with sautéed fennel, sweet potato, broccoli, garlic, seasoned with tarragon. Mark thought he had died and gone to heaven! He ended up eating half of my plate as well as his own. I'm going to try my hand at something I have not made before, tuna casserole. That may undo all the gastric joy he experienced last evening.

Experience your own joy, whether it be gastric or otherwise. Ciao

Seems doctors do not devote much time to patient concerns, which is WHY we have not seen one in years. That's not to say we haven't seem a medical practitioner when necessary and thankfully that has not been often. When living in VA and now in NH, we opted to go with a nurse practitioner. In our experience, they take more care to listen.

I'm with Mark on that dinner. Too bad about the bad fail, but sure you will find a use for it.

I wonder why she found it necessary to ward you off like that. She sounds defensive. I've found doctors get very pissy when you point out errors. Nurses, too. Ungracious.

I guess one loaf out of the series is okay, statistically speaking. It might make great breadcrumbs, too.

If it's not in the lab reports it doesn't exist, Beatrice.

I usually cook pork roast in a clay pot. This time I did on a rack in a shallow pan for 5 hours in the oven. It was fantastic!

Boud, I believe she wants rid of me. She was letting me know I've been fired. All I wanted was two corrects that were important and I was polite.

I didn't cut the loaf but I didn't need to to know it's kind of a brick! It will make good bread crumbs.

She is looking to protect herself from liability more likely than not.

Medical payment and research is all developed from lab reports and statistics. You obviously don't fit in the medical system very well for them.

I'm sorry you have to experience this.

Thanks, Val. It's ok. I wasn't being helped anyway so being told to go away was probably a good thing.

I hope someday you find a Dr that actually cares.
I finally got an appointment with a specialist...not until July...they still think I have something autoimmune...duh!
I am not real thrilled with the new Dr I have in Grand Forks, I may replace him.
I have seen the same apathy with my Mom's Doctor...it is like she is too old to be concerned about. I think she needs a Geriatric Specialist. Maybe I need one of those too.

Wow, they let you see a specialist! I think drs are unhappy people. They sure seem unhappy. I'm staying away from them for awhile. I need to schedule a mammogram, but otherwise, I'm on my own. I' sorry this is happening to your mom. I get it. I was told in my last conversation that I'm getting older and just have to accept it. That's such caring attention to the patient. I will be curious what you learn.

So sorry to hear of Medical woes. I picked up my Insulin Weekly injectable today, it's only a Month's worth and the cost is well over a Grand! I will no longer complain about my $38 co-pay even tho' when the Base carried it I didn't have to pay anything... apparently my $200 a Month co-pay for all my Diabetic Meds is a bargain. Medicare won't pitch in since we're Retired Military, so they claim that you can't have Two Federal Rx Benefits, yet, they allow Two Federal Medical Benefits, go figure! Anyway, shocking how much Prescription Meds cost, if someone has no Insurance surely they will just Die. That Dinner looks delicious... now I'm Hungry... LOL.

Dawn, think of how much money would be saved if we had one working system. People should not be denied life saving medication because of profit.
