Those Were the Days

I was sitting at my desk, feeling morose and scrolling through photos. I came upon this and for whatever reason, perked up. I think this was third grade. I am the little girl on the top row, third from the right. The blond girl third from the left was my neighbor across the street and the girl bottom row second from the left was also from the neighborhood and my best friend all the way through high school. How were we so young?

I had an appointment with the neurologist set for 2/1. This morning I got a call asking if I wanted a cancellation spot for next Tuesday? YES!! Now that I've made myself feel a little better I think I'll try to do something today besides mope. Be warm. Ciao

Well, now things are moving. Somebody took you seriously. At last. Let's hope for some answers and a path to getting better.

You look as if you were in good spirits as a young one. Yay you will know sooner what to do now that your appointment has been changed.

I'm glad you got an appointment sooner because of the cancellation. Fingers crossed.

Lori, it's a start.

marlane, I was a child who did what she was told. It's hard to remember back that far.

Pixie, thanks. I don't know if where I belong but it's a start.

Far Side, I know how much you value the photo records and memories. I do, too.

Yippee! Things are moving along!
Somewhere in my archives is a class photo of me in 2nd grade I think and another in 6th.
Oh those memories are fun!

I think some of this Weather has made everyone glum? Well, that and a lot of other stuff going on beyond our control in the World. That Grade School Class Photo made me Smile, I can see why that Blast from the Past cheered you up. Just look how Young, how everyone was dressed, recalling who we connected to when we were Children. I looked like such a dork in so many of my Grade School pixs, especially the Group Class Photos. My Mom, being European, had this Thing for Cardigans and when I was Little, she'd stuff me in one for Special Photos and they were HIDEOUS! I had very long Hair, down past my Hips, but she always seemed to want to get it out of the way and into a Ponytail so I looked Hairless with it all severely drawn back like that... what was she thinking? *Bwahahaha* You were so tiny to be put all the way in the back row, usually they put the smaller Kids in the front row.

PS: Glad that Cancellation got you in sooner, hopefully the Medical Issues will resolve and that will make you feel better overall too. Having illness or injury is always challenging mentally and emotionally, as well as physically.

The photo did make me smile. I sent it to the blond neighbor girl who I had connected with on FB years ago. She got a big kick out of it. Girls had to wear skirts! We were made to look really awful sometimes by today's standard. We probably looked normal then.

I hope I get somewhere with this referral. I'm tired of this life I've been living.
