Gone - flitted away,
Taken the stars from the night and the sun
From the day!
Gone, and a cloud in my heart.
~Alfred Tennyson
And so we say goodbye to the holiday season and begin to start anew, looking toward the year ahead with some hope and no little trepidation. I start the year with a mess at hand. Perhaps this year I will end with order. Nice thought, but history has shown it to be that only; a nice thought!
Heading for the chipper pile.
Lucky me, I get to put this all away.
It's a good thing I have Howard to help me.

lol. My cat eats the ornaments ~ or the ones he doesn't play catch with Ditz with. Funny how there's plenty of hands on deck to put the tree up but everyone's busy when it comes time to take it down. :)
That dog is surely something else! He looks great company.
I'm the only hand on the deck here. Mark doesn't care about it, so if it gets done, I do it! I always wonder why when I need to clean up the mess, though. Howard is my constant companion and always in the center of everything. He truly is something else!
I think you have a very interesting cat.
I do! :) He's a real personality. I like animals with loads of personality.
We took down our tree yesterday, but fortunately the kids were just as excited to pull all the balls off as they had been to put them up : ) We have very shiny but plastic balls, so the girls took them off and tried to throw them into a large box, it was entertaining. IU am still finding balls under the sofa etc... even though we already stowed the Christmas boxes. Oh well they will wait just as well in my sweater drawer : )
Hope your de-Christmasing goes well!!!

Take help anyway you can get it Ashley. : )
I've gotten to the point where I don't even put it up anymore! You are far more ambitious than I! Or maybe I am just supremely lazy? Both I think.
I'm not that ambitious, other than getting the tree out of the house, not much else has been done!
