Gratitude is the sign of noble souls.

I think I prefer the word gratitude to thankful. I know it's splitting hairs, that they mean the same thing, but gratitude has a deeper impression to me. I can be thankful for food in my house, but I would be grateful if I'm down on luck and hungry and someone feeds me.
I know too many people who are struggling to hang onto their lives. I've seen despair and gratitude. I have much to be thankful for.
